Well, at our last midwife appointment on March 21st, we had a lot of highs. We got to hear the baby's heartbeat for the first time which was awesome. It was a good strong heartbeat and easy to find. We also got to see our baby again, though this time it was a far cry from the few pixels it was last time. When she first put the pi piece on my belly we saw the baby laying on it's back giving us a full side view. It was great! (I am going to use "he" now just to keep it short) He had his left arm up on his forehead in a very dramatic pose and was apparently sound asleep. SOOOO.....the sonographer started bouncing the pi piece a little bit thereby shaking the baby's secure little womb, and MAN he spazzed out! He started kicking his arms, legs and flailing his arms, and arching his back. Then he quieted down again to rest.....again with that left arm up on his forehead....and he couldn't be roused by the shaking again. So then the sonographer told me to move onto my side really fast and she would keep the pi piece on my belly. That just totally tipped his center of gravity and we got to see him slide back and forth in my womb like a little slip=n-slide, and then he started spazzing out again! Anyway, it was just sooo great and Wade and I absolutely loved it. I wish I had a little window now that I could open up and see him any time I want to. Oh, and just to let everyone know, when the sonographer was leaving, she decided to let us know that even though it was too early to tell, and she usually doesn't do this, she would bet on a boy. Hahaha. Of course Wade is about 99% sure the baby is a boy, and Dema recently told me she thinks I will have a boy. I'd like to hear everyone elses thoughts. :o)

Sweet baby!!!! Can't believe I am looking at my niece! Abby and Kaylee LOVED looking at their new cousin.
